Black Enterprise sponsored this Hackathon as part of its second annual TechConneXt Summit Conference at the San Francisco Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Ten Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) were invited to send participating four-person teams to compete ...
Alabama A&M University, Florida A&M University, Hampton University, Howard University, Johnson C. Smith, Morehouse College, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Southern University, and Tuskegee University.
The teams were challenged to use their creativity to develop an in-vehicle infotainment app. The teams will be judged on the viability of the app, its utility to individual users, and the efficacy of the technological platform. More information can be found on the conference program page. From time to time segments of the hackathon will be live streamed.
Below find the DLL Storify of tweets that were generated by participants who used hashtags = #BEhack. Unfortunately, many attendees at the conference included the #BEhack hashtag on tweets that may or may not have anything to do with the hackathon.
As usual, this DLL Storify is merely a "firehose" draft, i.e., it includes tweets in chronological order without comment or classification ... Storyfies of other #DiversityInTech events are listed in the DLL Archives.
