Anti-Asian American bias, affirmative action, and cheating at Harvard University

Last update: Sunday 12/9/18
Like other top-tier colleges and universities, Harvard has a high rejection rate. Many apply, but few are admitted. What would unscrupulous high school students do to get into Harvard? ... Would they falsify their applications??? ... Hold that thought.

All public policy decisions should be based on open source data

Last update: Saturday 12/8/18

DLL Editor's note: Basing public policy decisions on open source data is an old idea. It's been around for a long time, assuming different names from time to time. I am just the latest "visionary" to recognize its necessity.

Self-imposed limits on Asian American enrollments at highly selective U.S. colleges and universities

Last update: Monday 1/7/19
In the last decades of the twentieth century, conservatives challenged affirmative action in higher ed by asserting that the admission of Black students to the nation's selective colleges and universities was unrealistic and unfair. It was unrealistic because most Black students weren't smart enough to complete rigorous course loads in a timely manner. It was unfair because the admission of unqualified Black applicants could only be achieved by unfairly rejecting qualified White applicants.
