DLL Storify of BLUE1647's "MLK I Have a Dream" Hackathon -- Monday 1/18/16

Last update: Monday 1/18/16
Blue1647's Hackathon Series brings together urban youth, grades 7th-12th to identify community problems then build a prototype App to address that problem, all within 12 hours. The hackathons encourage all students to take the first step in coding: trying it out! Since 2010, its Edison-Award winning youth education program encouraged over 10,000 students across the world to do just that —try out coding and think innovatively about how to solve a community problem. More information about the MLK Hackathon can be found on its event page.

Below find the DLL Storify of tweets that were generated by participants who used hashtags = @blue1647, #CodeBlueUSA, and other relevant hashtags that emerged during this event. As usual, this DLL Storify is merely a "firehose" draft, i.e., it includes all tweets in chronological order without comment or classification ... Storyfies of other #DiversityInTech events are listed in the DLL Archives.
