DIV Hackathon is the only youth and diversity-focused annual hackathon that is 100% organized and operated by students of color, in the United States.hackathon is held on the campus of Huston-Tillotson University. Located in East Austin, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin’s oldest university and only HBCU (Historically Black College and University). 





Sponsored by mvtm50, this hackathon takes place annually, as people from around the world descend on the Lonestar State for SXSW Interactive. The focus of this two-day hackathon is to educate, engage, and empower millennials of color. DIV Hackathon wants millennials of color to recognize that they can be more than consumers of technology; they too can be creators, innovators, and disruptors of tomorrow’s technology and digital space.
