No TECH Updates -- Technical Problems

Dear Readers, there will be no TECH Updates on Thursday 13 April 2017 or Friday 14 April 2017 due to unforeseen technical problems encountered while revising the DLL's publication schedule. The next DLL publication will be "TECH Dozens" on Sunday 16 April 2017. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Meanwhile readers should note that from now on the DLL's weekly "TECH Updates" (formerly called "TECH Daily") will only appear on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Its calendar updates will continue to appear on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. And its weekly "TECH Dozens" magazine will continue to appear on Sunday evenings, but will be accompanied by fewer tweeted "reminders" on Mondays and Tuesdays.

A more limited publication schedule will give the DLL more time to identify the most significant upcoming events that should be included in its #DiversityInTech and #EdTech calendars. More time will also provide greater assurance that its Updates and Magazine provide links to reports and op-eds that are timely and/or memorable. And saving the most important reason for limiting the DLL's publication schedule for last ==> It will provide the DLL with more time to produce its own interactive reference reports with regards to the participation of Black, Hispanic, and female Americans in the U.S. information technology sector, a/k/a "tech" -- reports that are clearly written, are "reproducible", and embody the latest "data science" procedures. ... :-)

Sincerely,
Roy L. Beasley, PhD
DLL Editor
