This annual conference is sponsored by the White House Initiative on HBCUs. As described on its Web page, this year's conference focused on STEM, entrepreneurship and partnership. Breakout sessions included, but were not limited to: building sustainable partnerships; framing new pathways to science, technology, engineering and mathematics; strengthening access and opportunity; removing gender barriers in STEM, responding to the needs of non-traditional students; and responding to issues of diversity and inclusion, etc.The conference began on Sunday afternoon (9/20/15) with a reception for the attendees. The reception was followed by a dinner for the students who had been designated as this year's HBCU All-Stars. Detailed information about the conference's schedule of events can be found in the schedule's online PDF file.
Below find the DLL Storify of tweets that were generated by participants who used hashtags = #HBCUWeek and @WHI_HBCUs. As usual, this DLL Storify is merely a "firehose" draft, i.e., it includes all tweets in chronological order without comment or classification ... Storyfies of other #DiversityInTech events are listed in the DLL Archives.
