DLL Storify of CODE/BRONX: HOW TO START YOUR SCHOOL’S CODING PROGRAM -- Tuesday, 12/8/15

Last update: Thursday 12/10/15
Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and Code/Interactive (C/I) invited members of the Bronx K-12 community to Boricua College during Computer Science Education Week to participate in the launch of the Code Bronx initiative that will bring coding and computer science to every school in the Bronx.

Attendees discussed why coding & computer science were important for their students, what type of programs were appropriate for their schools, how they could sign up for professional development, and special opportunities for students and teachers. More information can be found on the event's flyer and on the C/I invitation page ... and on the Press Release (12/10/15)

Below find the DLL Storify of tweets that were generated by participants who used hashtags = #CodeBronx, @weareci, and @RubinDiazJr  As usual, this DLL Storify is merely a "firehose" draft, i.e., it includes all tweets in chronological order without comment or classification ... Storyfies of other #DiversityInTech events are listed in the DLL Archives.
