The Level Playing Field Institute (LPFI) sponsored this two day hackathon that was held at Twilio's headquarters in San Francisco. Its purpose was to expose minority groups to computer science and to promote production rather than just consumption of technology within these groups. The hackathon was designed to create a safe space while expanding what participants thought they were capable of doing. Students worked in teams and were assigned mentors. More information was provided on the the hackathon's event page.
